Which course is best for me?

In Classic Yoga study, even the most difficult physical practices are regarded as ‘Bair-anga’ or, the base or surface level. ‘Antar-anga’ is regarded as advanced practice and is translated as the ‘Inner or Interior Means’. Thus, the deeper practice of yoga focuses on the mind and not just physical conditioning or physical appearance. Students become ‘advanced’, regardless of their physical conditioning, when they learn how to engage the cohesive and healing forces of the BodyMind as a system. Advanced students gain skill in controlling thoughts, and improve their attention & concentration.

Anyone can learn to practice deeply regardless of age, flexibilty or health. Lakshyan’s programs allow you to choose your level of physical ability and enhance your capacity for healing.

Basic Skills, or ‘Outer Means’- include Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced hatha (physical) yoga, and Yoga for Over 50.

Depth Skills, or ‘Inner Means’ – include Meditation, Self Therapy, and Hatha Yoga Psychology.
